| "My work looks at ways to represent movement, time and rhythm within a still image."
Claire's work is inspired by 'Momentum', a physical theatre company based in Liverpool. Momentum's original and innovative style combines the art of movement/dance with a comic/tragic style of acting. During November 2007 and January/February 2008, Claire attended, and sketched at, Momentum's rehearsals for their latest production 'Anima'. Claire has developed the drawings made in the rehearsals to produce a series of new work, exploring the tension between the performers, the shapes they make, their energy and emotion. |
